THE KILLERS – WONDERFUL...

Brandon Flowers revealed in May 2015 that he and guitarist Dave Keuning had begun exchanging ideas for The Killers' fifth studio album, later that year the band reconvened with Flowers stating that they were planning to work once again with Sam's Town producers Alan Moulder and Flodd. The band rented houses in Joshua Tree National Park and San Diego to work on the album. They recorded with Ryan Tedder and other producers before beginning work with Jacknife Lee who had been recommended to them by U2 frontman Bono, Lee worked with the band between September 2016 and May 2017 at his home studio in Topanga, California, and at National SouthWestern Recording studios in Las Vegas, Nevada. Lee produced all tracks on the album alongside The Killers except for one which was produced by longtime collaborator Stuart Price. Guest appearances by Mark Knopfler and Brian Eno.

Country music trio Midland’s eagerly awaited debut album. ON THE ROCKS (Big Machine Records) is due September 22 and features 13 songs all written or co‐written by members Mark Wystrach (lead vocals, guitar) Cameron Duddy (harmony vocals, bass) and Jess Carson (harmony vocals, lead guitar). The songs of ON THE ROCKS range from lush Urban Cowboy anthems to loose desert campfire jams. Lead single "Drinkin' Problem" – now certified GOLD – provides Country music withthe definitive drinking tune of 2017. "Make a Little," a rollicking love song, soars with the brotherly harmonies of Wystrach, Duddy and Carson, while "Something on the Wind" recalls the Eagles' iconic intro to "Seven Bridges Road."
