SLACon, a free multimedia convention featuring anime, manga, science fiction, fantasy, horror and comic books with costuming, discussion panels, gaming, artists and films, is coming to Sarnia Library on Saturday, December 27, 2021 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This year's theme is "Doctor Who Versus Godzilla," recognizing this year's Doctor Who Christmas Special and the 60th Anniversary of the first Godzilla movie.

Providing multimedia fans with the opportunity to talk with other fans and artists, SLACon presents a wide range of panels with topics on make-up, costuming, live-action role-paying, and costume photography. There will also be an Artist's Alley, Gaming Lounge and a free film program of PG rated movies on the big screen in the Library Theatre at 10 a.m., 12 p.m. and featuring a Godzilla movie at 2 p.m. Costumes are encouraged with a Costume Show to take place in the afternoon at 4 p.m. Please contact the Reference Department at 519-337-3291 for more information or to found out which movies will be shown.
