>SWIFF 2017 Film Festival @ Imperial Theatre & CineGAZE @ Memorable Moments

November 2 @ 6:00 am - November 5 @ 6:00 pm

SWIFF and CineGAZE bring the noise to Sarnia Sarnia, ON—The South Western International Film Festival (SWIFF) unveiled today the line-up for CineGAZE, the two-night music and film concert series that runs in tandem to its Imperial Theatre film programming throughout the event.
In particular, SWIFF is excited to highlight CineGAZE headliners Shilpa Ray and the Born Ruffians, playing November 3rd and November 4th, respectively.  “Do not miss Brooklyn’s Shilpa Ray,” said SWIFF executive director Ravi Srinivasan. “This is her only Canadian date on her tour, and I promise you will not be disappointed.” Ray, who recently released her latest album Door Girl, has toured with some of the greats—including Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. Door Girl is a raucous, rock ‘n’ roll ode to
the town she loves to hate: New York City. It’s a set that’s sure to make 148 Front St. quake with sound.
At this point, Born Ruffians need no introduction. As The Sadies did in 2016, these local legends are primed to give CineGAZE an extended set to remember—and close out CineGAZE late into the night. “We are thrilled to bring one of Canada’s great rock ‘n’ roll bands to Sarnia,” said Srinivasan.
In addition, CineGAZE will host rising Toronto hip hop artist Spek Won on November 4th, a night that will open with former Sarnia residents Twin Rains, led by Christina Stoesser.
CineGAZE is more than just a concert series: it’s a fusion of film and music. By projecting movies chosen specifically by the SWIFF programming staff on the wall behind the musicians, the venue— Memorable Moments—lives up to its name. CineGAZE-goers are also invited to snack on some free food provided by ReRuns: Hari’s Famous Spring Rolls.
Single day and weekend passes to CineGAZE are available in advance at www.swiff.ca/cinegaze, or available at the door (while supplies last). But SWIFF’s all-access and VIP passes get you all this—and more!
The full CineGAZE line-up is as follows:

12pm – Shilpa Ray
