CBC radio BANDWIDTH Contest for Ontario indie bands…

OCTOBER 23 UPDATE…

Even more musicians and bands we know are now candidates to win - Elequen  and Southern Fryde Inc.  have been added NOW it’s time to VOTE… http://www.cbc.ca/bandwidth/  click on website for info.  You can pick your 3 favourites and vote each day until Oct. 28.

OCTOBER 19 UPDATE…

So far we know FIVE OF THEM!!  We wish they could all win!

Antennaes (Sarnia band) - Beth Moore (Niagara area- played @ Cheeky Monkey & Paddy Flaherty’s) - Michael Ross (from Sarnia) - Trent Severn (Emm Gryner/Dayna Manning/Laura C. Then here’s your chance to win a LIVE STUDIO SESSION and FEATURE INTERVIEW on Bandwidth, Ontario’s independent music show on CBC Radio One!
TO ENTER, from October 6th to October 20th, post an audio track or a video of your band performing on your CBC Music Artist Page (if you haven’t joined, sign up for free! It’s easy!). It could be a recorded song, a live performance, a music video — whatever you think shows off your band’s mad skills best.

THEN email [email protected] with the subject line “EXPAND YOUR BANDWIDTH”. Include a link to your band’s awesome audio or video, your name and your contact information.

CHECK BACK at cbcmusic.ca/bandwidth to see and hear all of the great entrants from all parts of the province. Like, leave comments, and maybe even discover your new favourite band!

Starting October 28th, IT’S VOTING TIME. You, your friends, fans, and other listeners will be able to vote for the musical acts YOU want to see in the finals. The top 10 most-liked bands make it to the finals, where the winner will be decided by a judge’s panel (made up of Brad Frenette from CBC Music, Steve Venegas from CBC Radio 3, and Meg Wilcox, host of Bandwidth).
