ABOUT THE MUSICIAN:
Paul Federici is a singer/songwriter who creates melodic acoustic tracks based around his soft voice and intricate use of harmonies. A style featuring unconventional guitar tunings, layered vocals and introspective lyrics, his work has won over fans and critics from a variety of genres and drawn comparisons to Dallas Green’s solo Project City and Colour.
“Paul Federici’s first release, has all of the highlights we might expect from a City and Colour record—a blend of emotive lyrics, vivid harmonies, authentic instrumentation—but Federici’s voice is an instrument of it’s own power. His singing possesses an ability to be soft-spoken and gripping at the same time. It’s, dare I say, beauti-ful.” (Mike Vial, Sounds that Matter.com.)
“His silky-smooth voice is something lacking in numerous artists to-day…and Paul hits home with his music and lyrics; singing from experience and the heart, his music is relatable and real.” (Matt Fleming, Brock University Press.)
Ready to increase his fan base, Paul is now touring in promotion of his album 'Relative Importance' which currently receives regular rotation on a number of college/university radio stations like 88.3FM Conestoga College Radio, 96.9FM Humber Radio, 101.5FM Mohawk College Radio, 107.1FM Nashville, and on February 22nd, 2012 ‘Relative Importance’ climbed to #1 on the103.7FM Brock University Radio charts.
One of Paul’s tour stops will be at Cheeky Monkey records and more store located at 130 Christina St. on the corner of Cromwell in Sarnia on Saturday May 19 to play from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Cheeky Monkey owners Mary Anne and Roland hope you can join them in welcoming this talented musician to Sarnia and becoming one his legion of admirers.
