Kevin Morningstar of Edmonton, Alberta and Josh Hughes of Ottawa, Ontario wandered into Cheeky Monkey while on a stop over for lunch. They are 2 of the members of the
Pacific Life Bible College on a 6 week tour performing song and dance in both the U.S. and Canada. Sarnia was their stop between coming from Fort Wayne Indiana and going to Toronto for the Four Square Churches of Canada Conference. From there they head to New York, Boston and the Maritime provinces.
As the young men were looking around, we overheard one of them say “I’ve found heaven”. Which made us smile since we know he meant music store heaven – a very special and rare place.
Just as this blog was being typed up and photo editing done, Kevin and Josh came back in with the whole gang of performers! They wanted them to see what a real record store
looks like.
In the photo is Kevin, Jeremy Kitchen of Fredricton NB, Jenna Josina of Surrey BC, Josh, Phoebe Chiu of Vancouver BC, Lily Hixson of Surrey, BC, Krisha Relleve of North Vancouver BC and Isaac Dagneau of Mission, BC. Behind them is Roland (Grumpy) coming up to see what all the excitement is about.
It was really great to chat with them and hear their enthusiasum for their musical journey (literally) that they are on. When asked if they had to try out to be part of this travelling troupe of perfomers, it was explained you had to have a talent to contribute and maintain high grades in school.
Before they left to continue on down the road, they too took pictures of us to remind them of the places and people they have met.
We wish them well on their adventure and know after 6 weeks on a bus and in motels, they will be looking forward to their own homes and beds, but will have many good memories for years to come.
