Legally Blonde The Musical - Audition Information
Auditions
When: Friday June 1 and Saturday June 2 at 7pm
Where: Imperial Theatre, Studio A – entrance to the left of the door to the box office & upstairs
What: 3 part audition consisting of singing, dancing, and acting – many roles available for women and men (ages 15+ up)
Sing:
1. one song of your choice to show off your talent (note: please bring sheet music or an accompaniment track for your song) AND
2. one excerpt from the show (selections in google drive)

Dance: please wear appropriate clothing and dance/indoor shoes to learn a short dance routine
Act: you may be asked to cold read a scene
Audition form is available in the Google drive or you can fill it out at auditions.

Rehearsals start: Thursday July 5
Rehearsal times: Sunday, Monday, Thursday from 6:30-9:30pm
Note: Holiday Weekends - no rehearsals Sunday August 5 or Sunday September 2. There will be rehearsals on Monday August 6 and Monday September 3.
Tech week: September 16-20
Shows: September 21-22 and 26-29 at 7:30pm and September 23 at 2:00pm

Leading Roles:
Elle Woods
The quintessential Valley Girl who follows her ex-boyfriend to Harvard Law School and realizes that she has more to offer than just a pretty face and a bubbly personality.

Emmett Forrest
A smart and sensitive law student who takes Elle under his wing. He is charming, quirky, loveable, and friendly.

Paulette
A brash, caring, optimistic hair stylist who is friends with Elle and longs to find a man for herself.

Professor Callahan
A pompous, sleezy and manipulative law professor at Harvard who is highly successful, but completely immoral.

Warner Huntington III
A good-looking but shallow and pompous guy who breaks Elle’s heart and heads off to Harvard Law.

Vivienne Kensington
A smart, savvy, and uptight law student and Warner’s fiancée who initially dismisses Elle, but grows to be her friend.

Brooke Wyndham
An exercise video mogul who is also a former sorority girl. She is energetic and charismatic, yet currently on trial for murder.
