The 11th annual Advent Organ Series will be begin on Thursday, November 28 at Central United Church, Sarnia.
Kicking off the series is William Lupton of Huron University College and St. Martin-in-the- Fields, of London, Ontario.
The series is held at the historic downtown church, at 220 George Street, corner of Brock and George. The half-hour program begins at 12 noon. All are welcome. A freewill offering is appreciated.
This may be the final opportunity to enjoy the largest pipe organ in 3 counties (including the City of Windsor!). The fate of the Casavant organ (installed in 1898 and 1930) is still unknown when the church closes in 2020.
The series continues with the following:
Dec. 5 – Gerald Vreman, organist with Centre Street Baptist Church, of St. Thomas, Ontario and Ken Baldwin, trumpet, of First St. Andrew’s United, London, Ontario.
Dec. 12 - Angus Sinclair, freelance organist from London, Ontario
Dec. 19, David Troiano, of St. Clare of Montefalco, Grosse Point Park, Michigan
