August First Friday Events in downtown Sarnia Media release
August is always a sizzling time of year. During the August 3rd First Friday Cultural Walkabout in downtown Sarnia, that will be especially true. Take a look at the list of all the exciting events going on. Besides all this, many other merchants are open late as well. Parking in the downtown is free after 6:00 p.m. on the streets, parking lots and at Bayside Centre.
Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery - 147 Lochiel St. 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. - John Kissick: The Boom bits opens tonight. Come and enjoy the dazzling surfaces of this painting exhibition. Artist will be present. Plus experience the larger than life sculptures and entwined drawing of Jamie Angelopoulos
Artopia Gallery & Framing - 188 Christina St N - 6:00 - 9:00 p.m - “Put A Bird On It!” Back by popular demand! Lynn Eves from Bluewater Center for Raptor Rehabilitation will be at Artopia with a variety of “Bird Friends”. We will be handing out canvas for you to create your favourite bird to donate. These will be for sale at October’s First Friday. All proceeds go to Bluewater Centre for Raptor Rehabilitation. Let’s help out our Fine Feathered Friends.
