Sarnia's very own multigenre fan convention returns! Emphasizing comic books, toys, games, collectibles and cosplay but open to any aspect of popular culture. It will be a one day show with dealers and guests both local and from out of town. The organizers are planning a schedule of convention programming such as game demonstrations, panels and a costume contest. Entry will be just $5 with children 6 and under admitted free. MoreAuditions & Drama Classes Auditions for the Lambton Young Theatre Players’ fourth main stage production, THE LAST WISH OF THE LOST PRINCE, by Bethany Lawrence, will take place Sept. 23rd, 24th, and 25th at the LYPT studio in Petrolia. Young actors and actresses between the ages of 10 and 18 years are invited to audition for this performance training program. Directed by Nancy Keys, THE LAST WISH OF THE LOST PRINCE is the delightful story of three children who find themselves in the magic kingdom of Avalon on a quest to find the long lost prince and bring Christmas wishes back to the world. 20 roles will be cast, and rehearsals take place in Petrolia at Lambton Central Collegiate Vocational Institute (LCCVI) Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. MoreInternational Symphony Singers Dr. David Troiano, Director 2013/2014 Season - “Music…Memories…and Magic!” The International Symphony Singers, under the direction of David Troiano, will be holding auditions on September 23rd, 6:30 p.m., in St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Sarnia, in preparation for another outstanding season of song. New voices are encouraged to come out and take part in this fine chorus, which performs several times each season with the International Symphony Orchestra. Tenors and baritone/basses are most needed, but all voices are welcome. Regular rehearsal, starting at 7:30 p.m., will follow auditions on the evening of the 23rd.
