The International Symphony Orchestra is pleased to be sponsoring an Introductory Summer Strings Programme for ages five and over. Adults are also welcome to attend. Sessions will run July 21st to 25th, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. each morning, and will include instruction in the beginning elements of string playing: sound production/notes; correct hand and finger position; posture etc. Participants may select either violin or cello, and instruments will be provided. To register, contact the ISO Office, 225 Davis Street, Sarnia, (519) 337-7775, prior to the July 14 deadline. The location of the sessions will depend on numbers enrolled. Dorkbot is an informal group of affiliated organizations worldwide that sponsor grassroots meetings of artists, engineers, designers, scientists, inventors, and anyone else working under the very broad umbrella of electronic art. The goal of our Dorkbot program at the JNAAG is to provide an open discussion and peer exchange of ideas and projects from those involved in the electronic arts, to see how we can build on and develop these common interests.
