International Symphony Orchestra presents An Introductory “Summer Strings” Programme The International Symphony Orchestra is pleased to be sponsoring an Introductory Summer Strings Programme, open to ages five and above. Adults/seniors are also welcome to take part. Sessions will run from July 24th to 28th, 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. each morning, and will include instruction in the beginning elements of string playing: sound production; names of notes; correct hand and finger position; posture etc. Participants may choose to play either violin or cello, and instruments will be provided. A graduation recital will be taking place on the final day, July 28th. Classes will be held in the Sarnia location, 251 North Vidal Street. The fee for one person is $60; $110 for two; and $150 for three (in the same family). Bursary assistance is available subject to financial need. Q. 80's star Gowan is now the frontman of what band? A. STYX Lawrence Henry Gowan (born 22 November 1956) is a Scottish-born Canadian musician. Gowan has been both a solo artist and the current lead vocalist and keyboardist of the band Styx  since May 1999. His musical style is usually classified in the category of progressive rock. At the age of 19, he earned an ARCT in classical piano performance from The Royal Conservatory of Music, in Toronto, Ontario. Upon graduation, he enjoyed modest local success with the band Rhinegold in 1976. After the band broke up five years later, Gowan began a solo career under the stage name Gowan, releasing his first album under that name in 1982, which was produced by Rob Freeman and featured Kim Mitchell of Max Webster on guitar. OMiGodshow is a 19+ Variety Show featuring original sketch comedy, live music and an after-videodanceparty on the Imperial Theatre stage August 18 & 19 from the relentlessly psychotic Ian Alexander and friends. AUDITIONS ARE JUNE 21 & 23 at 6:30pm UPSTAIRS AT THE IMPERIAL IN STUDIO A Please be prepared to read for varying characters, singing (if you want to), dancing (if you can without hurting yourself), MATURE CONTENT, and a stupid amount of fun. Tragicially Hip it appears on the album In Violet Light (2002) and on the compilation album Yer Favourites (2005). The video begins with Julian and Bubbles and a character named Gord (Gord Downie, lead singer of the band) waking up Ricky. They tell him they are going to steal an engine for Gord's car in exchange for take-out chicken. The music begins, and the boys wait for their chicken dinner, which is delivered by someone who looks suspiciously like Don Cherry . But before they can eat, they have to steal the engine.
