Big Sugar make a much anticipated return to form with a fully electric record; 10 soul selections with a rootical inflection. Big Sugar’s new album “Calling All The Youth” encompasses what so many people love about Big Sugar: the mind altering dub of big sugar calling youth“Universal Vampire/All Aboard”, the funky reggae party of  “Moving Up”, heavy electric blues of  “Reckless and Dangerous” and the gospel tinged rock “Just Can’t Leave You Alone” - a co-write with the Trews.

Frontman Gordie Johnson explains, “The Nyabinghi drums, the dub reggae, the Detroit soul, the Texas blues - all of those things are coming together, sometimes in the same song. Not consciously. We acknowledge all the cultures that collide to make our music, so it just comes out the way.”,
